I just wanted to share a cool story from today about another success story with the new Naida V from Phonak. I went to see Mary for her follow-up appointment today and I asked her how she was doing and her reply is that “it feels great to hear again”. Mary’s biggest complaint with her old hearing instruments is that she would go to her church socials and could not converse with the people at her table. She told me she felt like a dummy sitting at the table while everyone is talking and having a good time. She was starting to go into depression and isolate from social gatherings.

Mary was fit with Phonak Naida V’s about a month ago and was very skeptical about trying anything new, she thought nothing would work. Well she gave it a try and on her first visit I asked her how she was doing and she told me a story, of course I was on the edge of my seat. She said she went to her social gathering at church and she sat at her table with the same people as always. She said when they all started talking she about jumped out of her seat,  she said “I can hear everyone talking and I know what you are saying”. She started to cry when telling me the story, she really thought that she would never be able to do that again. Mary would tell me how bad she felt at these gatherings that she could not engage in any of the conversations. She lights up now when she tells me she can hear all the good gossip. Life is good!
